AGI brackets
RAP uses income brackets from a flat $10 payment up to 10% for income above $100,000.
Estimate your monthly federal student loan payment under the Repayment Assistance Plan using Adjusted Gross Income, dependents, the RAP income brackets, and the $10 minimum payment.
RAPlan estimates monthly payment as: AGI multiplied by the RAP bracket rate, divided by 12, minus $50 per dependent. The result is never lower than $10 per month.
RAP uses income brackets from a flat $10 payment up to 10% for income above $100,000.
Each dependent lowers the monthly payment by $50 before the minimum payment is applied.
If the bracket formula and deductions fall below $10, the estimated monthly payment is $10.
